An MLM, network marketing, or business opportunity seeker lead is
someone who has answered an ad expressing an interest in a home
based business.
These ads can be found on the Internet, business opportunity
magazines, so called "junk mail", and a number of other places.
When you buy mlm leads you usually get the person`s contact
information such as name, address, email address, and phone
number. These are people who have asked to be contacted about your
home based business.
Let me add the word "usually". Later in this tutorial I`ll cover
some different types of mlm leads. There I`ll give you an example of
leads that do not expect or want to be contacted.
The Pros and Cons of Buying MLM Leads
When considering buying mlm leads you need to know there are both
Pros and Cons. To begin with, buying leads can be a short cut
to building a successful business.
Often when a person joins a business opportunity the new
distributor is told to make a list of all their family and
friends and show them their new business. Doing this is very
difficult for most people and the results are often disappointing.
Most people you talk to will not want to join your business for
many reasons. Especially when you are just starting and they know
you are not making any money.
When you buy a lead list of people interested in mlm you have the
contact information of people who DO want to join a business opportunity.
Or are at least considering the idea.
It`s much easier to build your business when you email and phone
people who are looking for an MLM, network marketing opportunity.
That`s just common sense. It`s easier to sell a hamburger to a
hungry person who loves burgers than to a vegetarian who just ate.
But you must keep in mind that buying mlm leads is not a magic pill.
Buying leads is a business expense. At least at first. In time
this expense can be turned into another source of income. But if
you are just beginning, look at it as an advertising expense.
Working with mlm leads usually requires some skill. How to talk with
people. What to say. When to say it. It doesn`t have to be
difficult. But it usually takes a little time for a person to
work with leads comfortably.
An mlm email lead is an option to calling. Most opportunities you`ll
be involved with have systems already in place. The system will
do all the emailing for you. But the practice of only emailing
leads can often take more time, or buying more leads.
Call leads. Email them. Do a combination. It all works. With
time and experience you`ll learn what works best for you. And you
should have a sponsor that is helping you with all of this.
As I mentioned above, leads can become another source of income.
More money. There are many mlm lead generation companies that sell leads.
It`s a big industry that is very profitable. Many of these companies pay a
commission for referring business to them.
The amount of commissions you can earn varies widely. And you may
want to research this before deciding which mlm leads to buy. But as
you build your network marketing business, people who join you
will often want to buy leads to start building their own business.
If your new distributor joins your mlm lead company too you`ll start
getting another check.
